Meet Dr. Lorenz
Dr. Colten Lorenz, Doctor of Chiropractic
I was born in Ohio, spent several growing years in western Kansas, until my family settled in the Peru/Kokomo Indiana area. From 5th to 12th grade I did my schooling at home. My first visit to the Chiropractor at age 16 had me intrigued with the profession. Following high school graduation in 2011, I studied pre-med at IU Kokomo for 3 years in order to get into Logan University in Chesterfield, MO. Thousands of studying hours later I graduated with my DC degree in August of 2017.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our growing family. Currently keeping up with 4 young kids takes most of our energy. With any spare time I love to remain active through disc golf, sports, knife making, home projects, and enjoying the great outdoors. I am an active member at the Plevna Dunkard Brethren Church and hope to serve God in any way He leads. I hope to be a blessing to the Kokomo area and help others improve their quality of life through Kokomo Chiropractic.
Techniques
Logan University has a good program of many chiropractic and soft tissue techniques. While in school I studied several, including: Diversified (manual adjusting), Logan basic, Activator, Thompson, SFMA, soft tissue techniques, and instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation. They taught several physiotherapy classes about giving patients the right exercises to correct a problem. We also had more nutrition education than most medical doctors!
History of the Business
Kokomo Chiropractic has been in the same building at 824 Belvedere Dr. for over 40 years now! Dr. Colten took the business over in November of 2021. Dr. Joe Hicks was here for about 18 years before that, and Dr. David Harris for at least 20 years before him.
